Thanksgiving Day

This year Stace and I had to stay in Southern California for Thanksgiving.  I think we would normally try to head up to NorCal where both of our families are, but Stace had to work on Saturday which kinda broke up the entire weekend.  At first we were both wondering what we were gonna do.  We had options to head to San Diego, attempt a Turkey ourselves with friends, or try out one of the higher rated Chinese Restaurants who apparently are open regardless of holiday.  While we were laying out our options, the Parks sent out an email to our church graciously inviting anyone to their home for Thanksgiving Dinner.  We instantly replied and had the chance to witness this beautiful bacon wrapped turkey!  It was delicious to say the least!  Moist and flavorful throughout!  Stace made some Pumpkin Pie and sugar cookies for dessert.  There were other desserts brought by some of the other guests as well.  It was a complete evening ending with some Nintendo Wii action!  Thanks to the Parks for opening up their home for us to enjoy.  It was a good time!  =)  Here's a link to some of the photos from the evening.

Haunted House

Ever since we've known each other, Stace and I have celebrated each holiday by doing different things.  Halloween has always been about going to the pumpkin patch, carving the pumpkins, and building a ginger bread haunted house.

Generally we try and go to a different pumpkin patch every year.  This year we were running short on time, so we just went back to one of our favorites that was close by.  It was the Tapas Brothers Pumpkin Patch.  They always have some really tasty BBQ corn-on-the-cob and ugly animals (we like ugly animals).
Since I'm starting this entry late, I'll just give you a link to our pumpkin patch photos: Pumpkin Patch

Our haunted house this year was smaller than other years.  We put too much water in the frosting mixture (okay, it was me), so it was really drippy and didn't stick very well.  We managed to hold it together though.  Please click here to see additional photos.

Our Blog

So we haven't really shared anything since we've opened this blog. I think we'll make this our new home for postings and updates on whats going on with us.

Much stuff has happened lately. We barely find time to relax. Most of our trips revolve around wedding plans, but we've gotten a chance to celebrate the season a little. Since it's halloween time, we traditionally carve pumpkins and make a ginger bread haunted house. We haven't carved any pumpkins yet, but our house has been built and is slowly being eaten. I'll post pics once I figure out the best way to do that is.

Okay, so I just wanted to kick this blog so we have a central location to update everyone on our lives together. =)
